Mixed Media Exploration for Kids Fall Session

Ages 6+

During Mixed Media Explorations, students will deepen their relationship to color, shape and composition. Throughout this 6 week session, students will develop their skills and confidence in painting, drawing and collage.

MaryJo Allegra (MarySlo) joins The Studio at Gallery North in 2026 as Lead Educator. A graduate of Pratt Institute and Teachers College, MarySlo has taught in progressive independent schools for a quarter of a century. She has worked alongside teaching artists at The School at Columbia University, Ross School and Friends Academy. MarySlo is an invested artist and natural educator who is dedicated to supporting students in discovering their creative potential and developing confidence in expressing themselves and leading in. MarySlo is resident of Stony Brook and is excited to work with her community throguh creative practices.
