Festival Information
Now in its 21st year, the Wet Paint Festival is an outdoor event that provides the community with the unique opportunity to watch Long Island’s plein air painters as they capture the area’s historic and natural beauty. This year, the Festival will include guided tours on plein air painting, history, local ecology, as well as live music, food, and children's activities. All registered artists will have an artwork painted during the festival featured in the exhibition at The Reboli Center for Art and History.
This year, Gallery North invites participating artists to paint on the grounds of the historic Merritt Hawkins House and neighboring Nassakeag Elementary School. Centered at the elementary school grounds, the Wet Paint Festival will provide a hub for artists, as they explore and paint the Merritt Hawkins House, the trails that meander through the woods nearby, and the elementary school's beautiful greenspaces. The school, wooded trails and historic house will provide the ideal setting for our local public to observe plein air painters at work and learn about their local history.
This festival is free to attend and all are welcome. Artists interested in participate are encouraged to fill out the form below.
