5:00pm – 7:00pm

In Situ features over 70 small and medium scale paintings and mixed media works created on site at the 22nd Annual Gallery North Wet Paint Festival. The festival, which was held on June 7 and 8 at Old Field Farm in Setauket, celebrates the unique process of working en plein air, a practice that requires artists to artistically seize the moment, competing against time and weather, to capture shifting shadows, fleeting movements and a constantly changing environment. Artists spent two days working outdoors on location, creating works that evoke the beauty and history of the local landscape.

In Situ includes 48 local and regional artists including Loretta Oberheim, Doug Reina, Jeff Potter, Rita Broughton, Dino Rinaldi and Laura DiLeone. The exhibition will also feature additional works by Liz Kolligs, the 2025 Best in Show award winner. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote in person at the Gallery for this year’s Best in Show. The winning artist will have a special feature in next year’s festival exhibition.
