Ready to take your enameling a step further? This class is the next in a series to learn another technique with vitreous enamels. You will learn to explore a new way to create patterns and images on copper using stencils (cut paper, ripped paper, etc). If you missed the class on enameling with rubber stamps no worries you can jump right in with this technique and no prior experience is required.
You will learn how to prepare your copper disc (blank) and use stencils with powdered glass (vitreous enamels) too create shapes, layered patterns, and interesting surface designs. We will experiment with applying different colored layers of enamel to create unique effects.
This is an opportunity to experiment, play with color and pattern, and develop your own personal style. Bring your ideas and imagination as we explore new possibilities with vitreous enamel. Warning: enameling can be addictive!
All supplies are included. Please bring a mask to class, the enamel is ground very fine and can get airborne during use.
