Help support the Sharon Cowles Café

In 2024, Gallery North received a generous bequest from Sharon Cowles, a passionate advocate for the arts and one of the most beloved members of the gallery's community. This critical funding has since become seed funding to support the Cowles Café - dedicating our new café within the Terence Netter Creative Center to Sharon Cowles' memory.

In honor of her decades-long support and service to the Gallery and community, we seek support to name the new café at the Terence Netter Creative Center in Sharon's memory.

Please support the creation of the Cowles Café!

About Sharon Cowles

Sharon Cowles became involved with Gallery North the year it was founded in 1965. She helped organize the very first Outdoor Art Show in 1966 and was instrumental in building it into the significant cultural event it is today. Sharon also served on Gallery North's Board of Trustees for decades, including serving as its second Board President. She was also a passionate advocate for the artists of Long Island and contributed immeasurably to shaping Gallery North into a significant community-based arts organization.
