Creature Week! ArtVentures Summer 2025

Make Art, Make Friends & Make Creative Memories!!

Ages 6-11years

$600 for the week

$375 for sibling (sibling rate can only be applied to siblings registered in the same week as a full paying sibling. ALL siblings after the first full paying can be at a discount.)

This week we are going to investigate the creatures of the world, both real and imaginary.  

Students will:

• Sketch real live animals with a special visit from Sweet Briar Nature Center

• Learn about and look at the many mythical and imaginary creatures created by people all around the world

• Design their own silkscreen of a creature of their choice or invention to print on a shirt 

All materials are included along with a sketchbook and ArtVentures t-shirt for each child. Each day begins with some time to get to know one another and an introduction to daily projects. Children will work individually and collaboratively to create unique works of art. We will spend a TON of time outdoors, taking advantage of Gallery North’s sprawling campus. Lunch time will be spent picnicking around the gallery pond and snacks (given twice daily) will be on our terrace. A group Show & Share Exhibition will be held the last day to celebrate everyone’s creative accomplishments! All family and friends are welcome join us for the end of week exhibition.

Students must bring a bag lunch, water bottle & a towel or blanket to sit on outdoors.. Snack is provided.
