  • Michael Ardolino

    Realtor, Emeritus Board Member, Community Advocate

    Michael Ardolino is the longest serving member of Gallery North’s Board of Trustees, first joining in 2006 and becoming an emeritus member earlier this year. Gallery North is humbled by his devotion to the Gallery and our local artist community.

     

    One of Long Island’s top real estate agents, Michael has led the firm, Team Ardolino/Realty Connect, since 1999. During his tenure, he has been a guest on News 12 Long Island, served as a panelist at numerous real estate symposiums, and led continuing education programs. In 2007 and 2008, Michael was named “Residential Real Estate Agent of the Year” by Long Island Business News. He was also a founding member of Isucceed.com, and has been featured in Newsday.

     

    Michael resides in Setauket with his wife, Marie, and dedicates much of his time to his community. Aside from his Board role at Gallery North, Michael serves as President Emeritus of the Three Village Chamber of Commerce, and as a Board Member at Stony Brook’s Jazz Loft. He was a founding member of the “Walk for Beauty, Walk for Life” organization, and was a founding member of other organizations including the Productions Over the Rainbow Theater Company, the Three Village Holiday Parade and the Three Village Industry Advisory Board Career Fair. Michael is also a significant supporter of Stony Brook University, Stony Brook's Medical Center, Sea Wolves United, Stony Brook University’s Athletics Foundation, the Staller Center for The Arts, Three Village Schools, and Port Jefferson Schools.

     

    He has also served as a member of Stony Brook’s and Setauket’s Civic Association, as well as other area organizations, including The Three Village Historical Society and Unico International.

  • Judy Gibbons

    Former Board Member, Retired Educator

    Judy Gibbons played a significant role in Gallery North’s history. A member of Gallery North’s Board of Trustees from 2011 to 2022, she served as Vice-President and was an active member of our strategic planning and event committees. Judy helped create the vision for the Studio at Gallery North, which opened in 2015, and was a prominent voice in the committee to build the Terence Netter Creative Center, due to open in 2027.


    A proud New Jersey native, Judy is a retired public school teacher and mother of two. She maintains a lifelong commitment to learning and creativity, serving on the Board of the
    Viewpoints Project and the National Museum of Mathematics, where she supports efforts to make mathematics engaging and accessible to a broad audience. She remains a significant
    supporter of the Gallery’s creative community.


    In her retirement, Judy has embraced a range of creative pursuits, including renovating oldhomes, expanding her photography collection, and writing fiction and poetry.

  • Lorena Salcedo-Watson

    SBU Professor, Studio Educator, Contemporary Artist

    Lorena Salcedo-Watson is an artist whose works on paper explore temporal qualities of life and interconnections in the natural world. Inspired by botany, entomology, and human anatomy, her large scale mixed-media drawings and prints interpret aspects of nature, filtered through personal experiences, observation, and imagination.


    Lorena played a crucial role in the formation of the Studio at Gallery North, establishing its printmaking workshop and serving as the Studio's first Program Manager. From 2015 to 2019, she established and coordinated the Studio's educational programming, including the Summer Program for Children, Summer ArtVentures. She currently leads workshops in the Studio in printmaking and papermaking techniques.

    Born in Guatemala, Lorena Salcedo-Watson received her B.F.A. from the Cooper Union, and her M.F.A. from Stony Brook University. She worked at the renowned printmaking workshop, Universal Limited Art Editions (U.L.A.E.) as a master printer and collaborator, working with notable artists in a diverse range of printmaking techniques. She taught printmaking at the Cooper Union and is currently a Senior Lecturer, teaching printmaking and drawing at Stony Brook University.
