Collection: Sue Nagel
Sandpiper Yarns products are inspired by nature and the colors that surround us, drawing on earthly hues and tints that celebrate the diversity of the natural world. Susan Nagel dyes, spins and weaves in her home studio, amidst family, next to her garden, and a short stroll from the beach. Sandpiper Yarns are exclusively hand painted, using small batches of locally sourced fiber, then handspun on a traditional spinning wheel. Susan’s spontaneous painting ensures a kaleidoscopic array of colorways, particularly when the yarn is plied. Varying the thickness of the strands will either mute or intensify the color selections. By weaving with her yarn, Susan is now creating unique wearable garments with greater dimensions in color and texture than more traditional wool.
