Collection: Justine Moody

Justine Moody  was born and raised on the north shore of Long Island, and nature has always been a true inspiration in her work.  Justine studied ceramics at Pratt Institute and later worked for a variety of sculpting and model making studios throughout New York City. She later opened a pottery and fiber arts studio in Basking Ridge, NJ.  Today, she teaches art grades 9-12 at Southampton High School. Teaching art is her true passion.

Working with color is a magical experience—one that allows emotions and sensations to be expressed beyond words. Through color, line, and texture, Justine translates feeling into form. Her process involves building and removing layers, allowing each piece to evolve organically and reveal new spaces within the work.

Justine is drawn to ethereal, organic forms inspired by nature, while exploring the striking juxtaposition between deep black and luminous gold. This contrast creates a dynamic tension between darkness and light, grounding, and transcendence. Her work exists in the space between the natural and the imagined, encouraging exploration, emotional connection, and personal interpretation.
