Join Long Island ceramic artist Jessamyn Go for an exciting 8-week clay workshop designed especially for kids ages 8 to 12! This fun and creative program marks Gallery North’s introduction into ceramics for children, and we’re excited to grow and expand our studio offerings with your support.
Each two-hour class includes hands-on demonstrations and guided instruction. Students will complete four unique ceramic projects—one every two weeks—while learning essential hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab construction, and adding attachments. They’ll also explore surface decoration and glazing methods. Sample Projects include:

Favorite Foods Bowl

Holiday Ornaments.
The structure of each project is simple and engaging:

Week 1: Build the form with clay

Week 2: Glaze and finish the piece
Whether your child is new to clay or already loves making art, this workshop encourages creativity, exploration, and skill-building in a supportive studio setting.
The $450 workshop fee includes all materials and kiln firings.
