"I believe that the creative process does not belong to the artist alone; that each viewer brings to art a unqiue perspective culled from individual exprience and knowledge. I feel there is a type of symbiosis between artist's offering and the viewers reception which can be dynamic and variable from moment to moment.

When painting, it is my artists intention to render an essence and represent a feeling in the painting, rather than a "photographic" reproduction. I often do not create an elobrate background and let the image speak for itself. 

With the photographic image, I try to capture an emotion or a unqiue perspective. I want to invoke a sense of newness and wonder with the images I produce."
