"Art is my meditation. Whether I am drawing with charcoal and losing myself in the momentary bliss of capturing the subtle nuances of what years brought to skin or finding myself once again in the reflections of color and light that are projected onto a landscape, art is my seeking to understand. To truly know one's subject, one must immerse oneself completely and that is what I do when I work. I move through other dimensions to ultimately find my way back into the here and now."
