ARTIST REGISTRY
ALEXANDER J. LAMOND
"I prefer the use of acrylics as a medium and find the color and textures to be an effective way of giving form to feelings that have never been easy to voice.
Abstract painting is cathartic for me and provides a venue for articulating emotions not easily put into words. At times my paintings evoke the deep, dark feelings of heartbreak, isolation, helplessness, anger, fear, anxiety, and suffering. At other times, my paintings are alive with light, expressing hopeful feelings of love, infatuation, desire, healing, and beauty. My artwork, overall, is an illustrative pilgrimage, a pictorial storybook of my life and experiences."
Alexander L. Lamond was born and raised on Long Island. In 2003, Lamond enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for a six-year enlistment, honorably discharged in January of 2010.
