Community Mural Project
Gallery North is excited to be working with current Carmela Kolman Fellow, Julia Jane Moore, on a community mural project which further fulfills our mission as a not-for-profit art space and gets to the center of our core belief that art is for everyone.
Figure Drawing at The Studio
We offer 3 different life studies groups throughout the week. Each group is non instructional; bring your own materials. No need to pre register. For more info contact our Director of Education below.
Meeting:
Sundays 9am-12pm $15 at the door
Thursdays 10am-1pm $20 at the door
Thursdays 6:30pm-9:30pm $20 at the door
Begining in March 2023 our we will be offering Thursday evening figure drawing on the 1st, 3rd and (when applicable) 5th Thursday of the month. On the 2nd week of the month we will be holding an Open Studio and on the 4th Thursday of the month we will be hosting a Crit Club. Independent Study @ The Studio
Enjoy working one on one with some of Gallery North’s finest art educators to develop a self directed art study. This course provides opportunities for students of all ages and abilities to work on developing their creative skills. Explore techniques that interest you or focus on a medium you love. The curriculum can be designed specifically to your interests. Sessions run from one to two hours and can meet weekly.
Enjoy printmaking, watercolors, collage, batiking, jewelry making, drawing and more!
Rates are dependent on curriculum and materials starting at $50 per hour.
Field Trips to Gallery North
Spend time exploring Gallery North's sprawling campus located within the Setauket Historic District.
- Visit the Gallery to view our latest exhibition.
- Talk with a curator to discover what it takes to put together a show.
- Create in the Studio and bring home a piece of art made alongside a professional artist.
