"Normal is boring. I draw expressive and wrinkled faces. I like painting broken fences, puddles, dirt, reflections – landscapes of Long Island. Lately I’ve been experimenting with old and young faces. Merging past and present; the old and young."

A Smithtown, N.Y. native, Donna Gabusi has been an artist about 30 years. She makes black and white face portraits with pencil. Her pet and house portraits and landscapes are painted with acrylic. Sometimes she paints on fabric covered matboard instead of canvas.
