Making a Print with Lorena Salcedo-Watson

In conjunction with Gallery North’s “Impressions” printmaking exhibition, this video briefly shows the process of making a print from a mezzotint copper printing plate. Lorena Salcedo-Watson is a Master Printer and co-curator of the Impressions exhibit. The exhibition runs through August 22nd, 2014.

ArtVentures Summer Camp is here! Sign up Today!

Children ages 5-11 will invent, create, explore, and imagine as they take inspiration from artists of both past and present. Camp activities include viewing original art and experiencing new fun art processes. Gallery North encourages a fun and experimental studio environment. All students will be invited to display projects in a weekend exhibition at the gallery following the last day of camp.

Wet Paint Applications Are Ready!

Wet Paint Festival is a tribute to late artist, Joseph Reboli and celebration of plein air painting. Artists will paint at Harmony Vineyard and Avalon Park & Preserve. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to observe some of Long Island’s top plein air painters as they capture the area’s historic and natural beauty.
