Watch Kevin draw and paint from a model and see how his artwork unfolds. These demonstrations mixed with lecture will be educational and entertaining not only for those who study art but also those who delight in witnessing the mastery of a skill built upon a tradition that began in the Renaissance.

Known for his portraiture, Kevin McEvoy has studied oil painting in New York and Chile. Today he paints and teaches on Long Island, where he lives with his wife, two children and 16 chickens.

Children’s Illustration Art Class Schedule

Grades K – 2 – 11:00am – 12:30pm

Grades 3 – 5 – 1:00pm – 2:30pm

Grades 6 & Up – 3:00pm – 4:30pm

Children who attend these classes will have the unique opportunity to make their own Illustration Book, and possibly have their work displayed in the Gallery during the last week of the show.

Gallery North is pleased to present “You Can Judge A Book By Its Cover”, on view from April 13 – May 5, 2012.  This impressive group of book Illustrators has come together for a never before seen presentation at Gallery North.
